The Media Center at the University of Passau (ZMK) supports the entire university in the implementation of modern, media-enhanced teaching and research projects. With extensive equipment and solid expertise, we create flexible solutions for innovative scenarios. Our qualified team provides free assistance to teaching staff and researchers, guiding them through the planning, implementation, and application of the latest media technologies.
Our professionally equipped studios are ideal for producing high-quality educational media, interviews, discussions, or presentations. With the help of modern camera, audio, and lighting technology, we create content that is optimally prepared for use in teaching and research.
Our hybrid recording technology seamlessly connects students in the seminar room with participants in the virtual space—ensuring clear video and audio transmission in both directions. Furthermore, we facilitate the recording of lectures and classroom scenarios to support reflection on and the further development of teaching.
Whether for mobile media productions, seminar projects, or portfolio work – our extensive equipment rental service offers everything from photo and audio gear to video technology, VR equipment, and all the necessary accessories. This enables students and faculty to carry out their projects in a professional and hands-on manner.
3D scanning and 3D printing open up a wide range of possibilities for research, art, and education. From digitization and analysis to virtual exhibitions and prototype development, ideas can be captured in great detail and brought to life.
The virtual talk studio is ideal for moderation training, science communication, and digital events. Within a realistic, virtual environment, content can be presented professionally, and new forms of interaction can be explored.
