Change of password policy for all ZIM user IDs

Regular password change requirement will be scrapped; minimum password length will increase to 10 characters

Currently, all ZIM ID passwords have to be changed in three-monthly intervals. This will no longer be the case from 1 December 2023 onwards. However, you will still be able to change your password at any time if you wish, and we recommend that you do so regularly. Furthermore, the minimum password length will be increased to 10 characters.

The password policy will change according to the following timetable:

29 August 2023: Minimum password length set to 10 characters: All passwords changed after this date must be at least 10 characters long.
29 August to 30 November:Please create a new password during this period. We recommend using a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters. You are no longer required to change passwords updated during this period.
1 December: The password change requirement no longer applies. Important: Passwords that have not been changed prior to this date will no longer work.
